Loans, loans, aaahh! GSpa reopens as Foxwoods raises stakes

It was just joyful watching Boston businesses reopen and watching people’s smiles as they finally saw old friends and family again. I feel the same about what is happening this week with the reopening of G Spa – the day spa and salon that I created over a decade ago at Foxwoods Resort Casino. The spa has been closed for a year now due to the pandemic, and the staff and I couldn’t be happier to finally see each other… and you.

We’re reopening today – in a renaissance bursting with new services, treatments and treats that will make you feel like you’ve had a rebirth too.

And if you, like so many people, feel uncomfortable visiting a spa after so much time at home during the pandemic, I understand. Every inch of the G Spa has been designed and redesigned to accommodate our guests in a professionally prepared and safe resort spa. Its wellness-oriented design and size is deliberately flaunted.

Part of that design has been the same since our beginnings: When we first built the G Spa, we had no idea that high ceilings, glass walls, luxurious exterior treatments, and modern furnishings would be so. perfect for spagoers. Now it is also a post-pandemic refuge.

Outside of our walls, Foxwoods has also improved its game. There is a lot to enjoy beyond the game: A-List numbers (Dave Chappelle is arriving later this week, and John Legend is performing in August) and nightclubs / day clubs; a HighFlyer zipline (foxwoodshighflyer.com) soars 33 feet above the forest; a cool drive-in theater (https://www.foxwoods.com/entertainment/view-all-shows/drivein/); and Green Gardens, a fabulous new pop-up restaurant packed with dining areas (Foxwoods.com/GreenGardens), which will open in July.

But if you are like me and your main favorite activity is the spa, then these are definitely our treatments that you want to consider.

Our Milk and Honey Body Scrub and Wrap ($ 135) uses an effective sugar scrub and scented body mask, and in 50 minutes, it hydrates you from head to toe. Equally hydrating is the Ultimate HydraFacial ($ 190). With the use of HydroPeptides, it relaxes wrinkles, stimulates collagen and restores hydration. And when you’re looking for something really, really relaxing, book yourself a CBD massage ($ 165). The anti-inflammatory treatment will soothe the muscles and joints and be a natural pain reliever. You can book these and many other treatments online.

We refreshed and improved the spa space and added to our protocols and rituals so that we were sure that our old and new spa clients would immediately feel at ease. My greatest wish is to provide everyone with the rest, repair and relaxation they deserve and need, especially at this time.
