CULLMAN, Alabama – Whitney Cheatham, a registered nurse with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and training in endoscopy, post-surgery and home health services, recently started an enterprising new venture to bring IV therapy to Cullman. Services are currently provided on a concierge basis in residential or commercial settings.

When establishing Infusion Wellness & Spa, IV Therapy Lounge, his goal was to provide adequate care including intravenous hydration, weight loss management and spa services accessible to all.

“Infusion Wellness & Spa is the first clinic in Cullman, Alabama to focus primarily on IV therapy and wellness,” Cheatham said. “Intravenous infusions are the fastest and most effective way to deliver vitamins and nutrients to those who wish to make them part of their health and wellness regimen.”

Cheatham, along with his team doctor, Dr Tom Oliver, is currently offering concierge visits to put clients on intravenous drips. The various intravenous infusions include packages for rehydration, improving the immune system, fighting acne and wrinkles, increasing metabolism, boosting energy and even relieving hangovers. For a list of drip packages, visit www.infusionwellness.com.

The vitamins included in the drops are B complex, vitamin B12, vitamin C, vitamin D, NAD+ and more. Cheatham will answer any customer questions about the specific vitamins included in each package.

Wellness & Spa Infusion website states, “We believe that by delivering life-sustaining nutrients and supplements directly into the bloodstream, we can improve cellular health. With the increase in healthier cells in the body, we believe people can be more energetic, more resistant to heart disease, dementia, cancer and other life-altering illnesses. Vitamin deficiencies are linked to many comorbidities and diseases. Common symptoms of vitamin deficiencies include fatigue, mental fog, brittle hair and nails, muscle cramps, bleeding gums, dry scaly patches, hair loss and restless leg syndrome, as well as other diseases.

As with any medical procedure, there are risks for some people.

Cheatham said: “There are certain risks with patients with heart disease or chronic kidney disease, which we ask about before intravenous administration and develop a safe care plan for everyone, but for others , the risks are very minimal, such as the risk of bruising, infection and inflammation of the veins. However, our staff are trained and comprised of medical professionals capable of combating these minimal, if any, risks.

Cheatham hopes to open a storefront by January 1, 2023. Its additional services then will be the VersaSpa automated spray tanning booths, which it says combine skincare science and tanning technology to amplify the inherent beauty of the skin.

Spa offerings will be gluten-free, paraben-free, cruelty-free, nut-free, vegan, and non-comedogenic.

“We will also have warm neck pillows and blankets during the treatment. (We will have) salon/spa products including but not limited to Redken, Pureology, Olaplex, Amika and Kenra. We will be offering eyebrow waxing, lip (and) chin waxing and Botox parties,” Cheatham said.
